The National Children's Museum is located at National Harbor in Prince George's County, Maryland, just a short drive from downtown Washington, D.C. and its surrounding suburbs.
The National Children's Museum is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Labor Day and Memorial Day.
The Museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.
From May 31 through June 29, the museum will offer extended hours (10 a.m. to 8 p.m.) every Friday. Additional summer hours may be announced at a later date.
The Museum hosts school groups Tuesday-Friday during the following 90-minute sessions: 10-11:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 1-2:30 p.m. Please note that the Museum may be at a higher capacity during these times.
Standard admission is $10 per child or adult, and there is no cost of admission for infants 12 months or younger. NCM members enjoy free admission year-round. Senior tickets (age 65 and over) are available for $8 with valid identification.
Active duty military and their families will each receive half off their admission on all non-holiday Mondays. This discount is valid for up to six tickets.
AAA members and their families will receive $1 off admission with valid identification.
All ticket sales are final.
It is the policy of the National Children's Museum that all adults must be accompanied by children in their authorized care, or by a staff member.
