The National Children’s Museum has a long-standing history of serving the Washington area community. When the Capital Children’s Museum closed in 2004, NCM began operating as a “museum without walls,” partnering with like-minded organizations to provide the region with a wide variety of community and school outreach programs and traveling exhibits. Additionally, NCM staff has conducted teacher training programs in more than 14 states.
Today, NCM continues to participate in several flagship events, reaching more than 300,000 children and families annually:
Including the White House Easter Egg Roll, National Cherry Blossom Festival, Kids Euro Festival and Marine Corps Marathon.
